Even though it’s been such good weather, it is officially the first weekend of summer. I love summer, with the sunny weather, the beaches are awesome, and so much to do around Hawkes Bay. It also heralds the start of the stone fruit season, with the early crops already appearing on the shelves of the local greengrocer. Hawkes Bay stone fruit just can’t be beaten, and I am really looking forward to them appearing in some of Kate’s recipes very soon.
Now it’s December, it is also Christmas season. Time to start planning for all those extra hungry mouths to feed on the big day, and there are still a few Christmas boxes available from On Your Plate, to help make the day a breeze. On that note, I would also like to make you aware of our delivery dates over the Christmas – New Year period. Our last regular delivery will be on Sunday 17th December, and we will be delivering Christmas boxes the following Sunday on Xmas Eve. Due to the public holidays, and the difficulty procuring fresh produce, we will also hold our delivery for the 31st of December, resuming normal deliveries on the 7th of January 2018. For those of you who have a subscription on credit card, we will sort out the payment pausing and restarting, however if you pay by automatic bank transfer, please be aware that you will need to pause and restart your payments yourself.
