Happy Easter! I hope you have made the most of the last days of day light saving and have a relaxing few days planned with family and friends.
We have a couple of new organic vegetables from Clyde’s gardens at Epicurean with his beautiful eggplants and chard. A great addition to the herbs, salad leaves, courgettes and spring onions that he already supplies.
Next time you make it to the Hastings Farmers Market make sure you pop in and say hello to our great producers. Clyde from Epicurean, Danny with his beautiful handmade pasta, Tricia and Alvin with all things chilli and capsicum from Orcona and Richard and Joanie from Origin Earth. Not forgetting the lovely people from Te Mata Mushrooms and Hohepa Cheese.
I hope you enjoy the week’s menu as much as I loved creating and eating it. If you have the pork belly take it out of the packing tonight to dry the skin for the perfect crackle tomorrow.
